Meet "Merlins Quest"...

A four year old gelding by Wizard King and out of Wonderland (Harrison's Flyers Sister)  is Bay in colour with a small white star on his face.

His official racing name was decided by shareholder nomination and vote in February 2006.

We offer Silver, Gold and Platinum share holdings in (subject to allocation availability).

As with all of our racehorses our long term plans are to race with racing Shares through his entire career through to retirement.

Background...

His sire is Wizard King who is by Shaadi, Wizard King won 27 races before going to stud including four group races in a row in 1997 over 7 furlongs, he certainly improved with age and his progeny are following his lead.

His dam is Wonderland by Dolphin Street (FR) and our colt is her first foal, she is Harrison's Flyers sister and gives our colt an excellent sprint pedigree.

Further back in the breeding our horse is related to  a number of group winning horses including Lochsong (GB).

Progress...

Since arriving at Milton's stable he has worked well, done everything asked of him and developed into a handsome three year old.

Milton thinks he is exceptionally well put together, has a great attitude to work and racing and should give his shareholders a lot of fun.

He ran eight times in his debut year including finishing 2nd at Catterick in a 14 runner six furlong handicap in October 2006.

He has shown he acts on most goings on turf and appreciates a test of stamina.

Plans...

We will race around the UK and initially be targeted at six or seven furlongs, though he could step up to a mile later in the season.

He has shown the ability to handle good or softer ground and we may try him on the all weather surfaces later in 2007.

We expect him to race between 10 and 12 times through his three year old season.
